Directed Studies and Student Research
All majors and levels OK. Directed studies could be a strict reading
course, or a small project. It could be an introduction to future
research project (see below), in lieu of a course that is not likely
to be offered by the time you need it for graduation, or something that
you always wanted to know but had no chance to look into it before. Contact the instructor to find out what is possible in a given quarter.
Undergraduate Research (Phys 497), Graduate Research (Phys 597), Thesis (Phys 599)
Physics and Astronomy majors only, or those intending to be one.
